BYOU SS'20 PATTERN
PATTERN | ILLUSTRATION
The theme of the collection, jungle, encouraged to create an animal pattern inspired by jungle animals. More than the shape of the animal itself, the concept of the illustration started from two characteristics that most wild animals share: camouflage and monochromatic vision. These characteristics live off each other, as the monochromatic view allows a better camouflage of an animal in the vegetation, in the eyes of a possible predator or prey.
When considering a visual element [in this case monochromatic] printed on a piece of fluid cut clothing, it will always be camouflaged in the undulations of the fabric.
It was under this idea that we developed an illustration of a tiger.
